It started in a quiet room, fueled by equal parts curiosity and love.
When I first began baking, I wasn't chasing perfection. I was chasing reassurance. Every batch carried a silent weight: Is this too sweet? Is it soft enough? Will this make someone feel seen?
That anxiety, however, taught me something invaluable. It taught me that baking isn't just chemistry—it's emotion. It's about pouring care, intention, and love into something you can hold in your hand.
My journey began during an internship at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve in Bali. Being surrounded by culinary excellence, it struck me that food could be a language.
But I noticed something missing in the world of cookies. They were often repetitive, same old flavor, or purely transactional. Deep down, I craved something different. I wanted to create a cookie that balanced indulgence with comfort, something that felt familiar yet emotionally new.
After countless rounds of Research and Development, the Soft Cookie was born. It wasn't chosen by accident. It was my way of expressing creativity. With its thick, soft-baked crisp edges and a gooey center, it calls you to take a breath.
